Charlie Brewer's Slider Company

   The Whirly Bee features an original flat slider head that keeps the hook up-right when retrieving or trolling.  The lure is good for crappie and also good for other species especially smallmouth bass.  This is an original design by Charlie Brewer that has been around since 1970 but still catches fish.

  The Charlie Bee features a 1/16 oz head on a #4 gold hook or a 1/32 oz head on a #6 gold hook.  The lure has a 1" grub body with a vibra-tail action.   The lure has a willow leaf blade to give a little flash.  The Charlie Bee comes packed with two spare grubs.  The 1/32 oz version falls more slowly and is good for fishing creeks.  A weedless version of the lure is available as shown in the lower right hand corner.  The head uses a #4 bronze, needle sharp hook for bothe the 1/16 oz and the 1/32 oz heads.

These Heads/Hooks are needle sharp and thin bronze wire.  These will straighten out in most case when hung but strong enough for most crappie.  Fishermen like these because they do not have to re-tie as often.  The hook can be bent back in place with the fingers or a small set of pliers.  These are custom built hooks made in the USA.

  This lure is great for catching panfish and getting lots of bites.  The lure is small only 1 7/8" long and weighs 1/16oz.   The hook is a size #4, bronze.  The lure features a flat original slider head design the keeps the lure up right when casting or trolling, a small grub split-tail body, and a small spinner blade.  The lure also comes with two spare grubs.  I recommend using spin cast equipment and 4 pound line.  Great lure for summer time fishing catching blue gill, sun fish, perch, and other pan fish.
